Here's my most current Vita. I am a Research Professor (regular-rank) in the Mathematics Department at Duke Unversity, as well as the Associate Director for Undergraduate Research and Curricular Engagement at the Information Initiative at Duke (iiD). I also serve as Chief Scientist for Geometric Data Analytics (GDA) , a local research and development company.
The aim of my research is to develop algebraic, topological, and geometric tools for application in a wide variety of scientific areas, particularly the analysis of complex and high-dimensional datasets, and to find useful connections between topology, geometry, machine learning, and statistics.
At iiD, I direct several award-winning programs that aim to foster data-driven, intersdisciplinary undergraduate research and graduate student curricular engagement across and beyond the university. These programs are called Data+ and Data Expeditions . Follow the links to learn more and email me to get involved!
